Vehicle Defense/Counter-Ambush Training

Law enforcement officers face a significant risk while operating in and around their vehicles. Many officers have received little to no training on how to survive a deadly force situation while inside or around their vehicles. The Vehicle Defense/Counter-Ambush course at Asymmetric Solutions is designed to address this critical gap in training, providing officers with life-saving skills and tactics to survive an ambush or deadly force situation while in their vehicle.

This 8-hour course goes beyond the basic training typically offered at other facilities. It incorporates live-fire engagements, ballistics testing, and demonstrations to help officers build confidence in their ability to effectively respond to a high-risk situation. The course includes a blend of individual and small team tactics, emphasizing how to use vehicles for cover, respond to ambushes, and safely egress from a vehicle in dangerous scenarios.

• Using Vehicles for Cover
  • Learn how to use your vehicle effectively as cover, making it an asset in defensive situations.
• Shooting Through Windshields
  • Practice shooting techniques that enable you to engage threats from within your vehicle, including shooting through windshields when necessary.
• Vehicle Egress
  • Master techniques for quickly and safely exiting your vehicle in the event of an ambush or other dangerous situations.
• Approach and Cover
  • Learn the best strategies for approaching a vehicle under threat and using available cover effectively during the approach.
• Responding to Fire or Sudden Vehicle Movement
  • Develop the ability to react swiftly and appropriately to incoming gunfire or sudden changes in vehicle movement, enhancing your ability to respond under pressure.
