NFSW Helo-Cast Zone is located true OTH 9 nautical miles offshore BLS #1. 18-30 ft MLLW the Helo-Cast Zone runs 20 kilometers East/West/South of Centerline allowing RXL support to approach from any direction. Challenging waterways require the Maritime Assault Team to back plan from hightide. Waterways are highly nonlinear and approximately 1.5 kilometers LOS from entrance to BLS. The terrain of the waterways allow the Assault team to get 2-300 meters from the BLS before splashing scout swimmers. In addition the BLS is also certified for Live-Fire to increase realism and training value.
