Course Overview

CQB 3 builds upon the foundational and advanced skills learned in CQB 1 and CQB 2, focusing on complex teamwork and tactical decision-making in high-pressure scenarios. In this course, students will engage in a variety of drills that test their ability to effectively handle multiple threats, complex structures, and contingencies while maintaining situational awareness and communication with teammates.

• Structure Approaches:
  Learn advanced methods for approaching and securing structures, ensuring safety and efficiency during operations. This includes evaluating the best possible approaches for each scenario, based on the environment.
• External Threats:
  Understand how to deal with external threats while securing a building, including managing potential dangers from hostile individuals outside the structure. Learn how to minimize risk and plan contingencies for external confrontations.
• Closed and Difficult Doors:
  Master the techniques for breaching closed and difficult doors, one of the most critical elements of CQB. This training includes both mechanical and tactical approaches to dealing with locked or barricaded doors.
• Complex Teamwork:
  Develop and enhance your ability to work effectively with a team in highly complex and dynamic situations. Communication and coordination are key as you and your teammates tackle challenging scenarios.
• Injured (Man Down) Scenarios:
  Learn how to handle the critical situation when a team member is injured. Practice tactical decision-making to maintain team cohesion, ensure the safety of the injured officer, and successfully complete the mission.

What to Expect

The CQB 3 course is primarily conducted with simunition to simulate real-world engagements. Live fire may be incorporated at the instructor’s discretion, providing a more realistic environment for team-oriented tactical operations. Simunition guns and ammunition will be provided for practical exercises.
