Homemade Explosives (HME)

Asymmetric Solutions offers Basic and Advanced Homemade Explosives courses designed to provide the knowledge necessary to effectively identify and safely respond to situations in which improvised explosives are used. The Basic course is intended to increase officer awareness and safety by educating officers on the elements of HME to include the components, precursors, and improvised initiators.

The Advanced HME course is restricted to specialized teams and/or agencies in which the specialized skills and knowledge are required. Participants of the Advanced course will receive instruction on the manufacturing of improvised explosives, detonators, and packaging of explosive materials. This course will culminate in the manufacturing and detonation of various improvised charges.
