10 Aug 24
Motorcyclists from all over will honor the 201 who have fallen in service to our nation. The mission is designed to raise maximum awareness of the sacrifices of those killed in action or in training and raise funds to support charities who assist the community, its families and survivors.
The Recon Raider Remembrance Ride will be a convoy style operation conducted by veterans. Each participating motorcycle will represent a fallen Marine Raider or Reconnaissance Marine. Along the journey, riders will pass through communities where some surviving family members reside to honor the fallen and pay respects to Gold Star families who shared in the sacrifice of our national defense.
The event is presented by Asymmetric Solutions, a global leader in private special operations capabilities. Its team is comprised of combat-decorated, highly reputable members of various special operations units, elite government agencies and seasoned special operations law enforcement officers. Collectively, the team has executed hundreds of combat deployments globally and supported countless stateside operations in support of law enforcement and government agencies nationwide.
About
Remembrance
At any given time, the full weight of our national security is shouldered by less than 1% of the population. Too often the lives of the few are cut short.
Even before 9/11, a special burden has been shared by the Marine reconnaissance and Raider community, which currently comprise just .7% of the Marine Corps and .07% of the total force.
The freedoms and liberty we enjoy as Americans are earned through the blood, sweat and tears of courageous citizens who’ve answered an arduous call to duty. Those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice and their families have inspired the Recon Raider Remembrance Ride. We must never forget what they have done so others may live.
We Ride Together
Reconnaissance Marines and Marine Raiders are part of the same community, cut from the same cloth.
The Recon Raider Remembrance Ride is also a call for unity within this special and elite coterie. It is also intended to make Marines, veterans and families aware of available resources for support. While these special warriors go to battle together, they, their families and survivors are not alone. When their lives are forever changed as a price of our national defense, we have a special obligation to ensure they are made whole to the greatest extent possible.
A Sacred Vow
The challenges facing the families of the fallen and the Marines transitioning from active service are tremendous.
Reconnaissance Marines and Marine Raiders must complete some of the most rigorous training and conduct extremely intensive combat operations as part of their regular operations. The wear and tear the occupation takes on the bodies and minds of these warriors remain long after their time in uniform is complete. And for the families of the fallen, life will never be the same.
Participating veterans will be offered the opportunity to make a special pledge before the close of the operation. They will vow to honor those who came before in how they conduct themselves and to, in terms of their own mental health, live up to the Recon Raider ethos that “to quit is to surrender, to give up is to fail.” They’ll promise to support one another and their fellow veterans when they find themselves in a crisis.

Marine Reconnaissance Foundation (MRF)
The Marine Reconnaissance Foundation (MRF) is proud to stand by the Raider and Recon community for this unique operation. The Foundation is committed to serving the Marine Reconnaissance Community by providing support to active-duty, retired and former teammates via reoccurring annual and emergency support programs for Reconnaissance Marines, and Special Amphibious Reconnaissance Corpsmen (SARC) deployed and our families.
DAV (Disabled American Veterans)
DAV is grateful for the unique service and sacrifices of the Raider and Recon community. We honor the fallen by caring for their survivors and the brothers and sisters they left behind. DAV empowers veterans to lead high-quality lives with respect and dignity. It is dedicated to a single purpose: keeping our promise to America’s veterans. DAV does this by ensuring that veterans and their families can access the full range of benefits available to them, fighting for the interests of America’s injured heroes on Capitol Hill, providing employment resources to veterans and their families, and educating the public about the great sacrifices and needs of veterans transitioning back to civilian life. DAV, a nonprofit organization with more than 1 million members, was founded in 1920 and chartered by the U.S. Congress in 1932.
Marine Raider Foundation
The Marine Raider Foundation is honored to support this unique event supporting the Raider and Recon community. The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides benevolent support to active-duty and medically retired Marine Special Operations Command (MARSOC) Raiders and their families, WWII Marine Raiders, as well as the families of MARSOC Raiders who have lost their lives in service to our Nation. The Marine Raider Foundation aims to meet needs unmet by the government with an emphasis on building personal and family resiliency and supporting the full reintegration of MARSOC Raiders following wounds, injuries, and extended deployments through four main program areas: Raider Support, Family Resiliency, Tragedy Assistance and Survivor Support, and Raider Legacy Projects.
